WHAT IS A PHILANTHROPIST?
When I think about what a philanthropist is, I think about my friend Mrs. Trellys Banks.
Anyone can be a philanthropist long as they are offering their time in the community, supporting an organization that helps people in need (shelter, food, clothing, or money). In addition, my friend/sister Trellys, constantly help motivate, improve, and strengthen all people that she has encountered. When she sees there is a way, to assist people, she does so with a smile. Trellys doesn’t need to be recognized when her actions from her work that she displays in the community is displayed for the good of the betterment of the people.
Mrs. Banks is a community Philanthropist who combine resources in service to meet a
local need. However, Banks will assist and serve whichever way possible. I’ve found that Trellys is passionate and caring about the causes that she lays her heart and mind about such as: mothers and children who are homeless, battered women and mental health.
MY TESTIMONY
When Trellys and I had met at her past employer and my current employer eight years
ago, we talked about different subject matters of our heart and mind. She embraced me with open arms and a warm smile. We both shared our passion about the need of homeless amongst so many children in our communities who are homeless with their mothers. Whereby, how we could help them in any form to let them know better days are coming. In addition, she has helped me with resources of gaining temporary custody of my first granddaughter. Her and I have assisted countless of mothers and children with food, clothing and school supplies. When Trellys embarks upon a cause, she gives it her all. Kudos to you Trellys in your perseverance of helping the necessary cause of our communities.
